Official Video for ‘Fake Rasta’ by Karamanti will be released on Monday June 29th

Karamanti - Fake Rasta VidAfter several weeks of shooting, Karamanti and her team are now ready to release the official video for her track ‘Fake Rasta’ which is on the Rock Island Riddim by Range Hill Records. Though the song is considered a serious one, the video shows a lighter side with popular actor Stanhype playing a very comical role as the ‘Fake Rasta.’

Stanhype, who has also starred in videos for Duane Stephenson and most recently, Konshens, does all the things that a Rasta is not suppose to do. All who were involved in the shoot and edit unanimously agreed that he played the part very well. Veteran Reggae Group Home-T Reunites & Releases New Album

00-hometThe foundation members of Reggae group Home-T regrouped to present a new CD called ‘SEND COME CALL WE.’

It is produced and arranged by the legendary Mikey “Mao” Chung and backed by the original Now Generation Band.

Home-T’s entry into the music business was a self-produced song ‘Mr. Fire” written by co-founder Junior Gentles on their own Home-T Label. Many singles followed on the Mushroom Label: a cover of the pop hit “Stop Children,”  “Dedication,” a song written by the legendary BB Seaton, and a cover of The Wailing Wailers “ Soul Shake Down Party.”

On their own Junjo Label came “ Irons in the Fire, “Mystique”, “Love Oh Love” and “Dance a Sweet Kind A Music.”

The last two songs allowed them to be finalists in the 1978/79 Festival Song Competitions, then came a reworked version of  ”Soul Shake Down Party” on Phonogram Records which was released in Europe.

All these singles were produced by Mikey “Mao” Chung and assisted by Home-T. Other singles followed on the Joe Gibbs Label: “Respection,” “ Red Bum Ball” retitled  “Playmate,” and in 1980 a Christmas Song written by Mikie Bennett called “Christmas Mood” more popularly known as “Mek The Christmas Ketch you in a Good Mood,” which became an anthem that’s played every Christmas season.

In 1983 “Sly & Robbie Present Home-T” was released which yielded a #1 song “Do You Believe?” on the UK Black Echoes Chart. This song was written by the late Trevor Roper of the band Chalice.

In 1988 Home-T busted out big time on the reggae scene with hits such as “Who She Love” and “Don’t Throw it All Away” on The Jammys Label, then on the Music Works Label they had  “Holding On,” “Pirates Anthem,” and “Single Life,” solidifying them as hit makers.

Some of these songs were done in collaboration with Shabba Ranks and Cocoa Tea. In 2006 the album “Stronger Now” was produced by Mikie Bennett and Home-T at Grafton Studios.

Home-T has had its share of experiences to last many lifetimes. This is timely shared with audiences around the world, through scintillating performances with an eclectic mix of Ska, Rock Steady and the every pounding bass lines of the intriguing reggae music.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Releases Statement Regarding His Recent Arrest

00-diddy

Justin Combs & Sean “Diddy” Combs

Following an incident that occurred yesterday (June 22) on the campus of UCLA, REVOLT Chairman Sean “Diddy” Combs is releasing a statement on the matter. According to police and reports, Combs was involved in an altercation with a strength and conditioning coach on the Bruins football staff, where his son, Justin Combs, is a defensive player. It remains unclear at this time the exact details surrounding the events, however, Combs was arrested and later released on bond and is due back in court next month to face assault charges against Sal Alosi. Alosi is most widely known for illegally interfering on a live play during an NFL game between the Jets and Dolphins when he was a member of the New York organization. TMZ first reported the incident and claimed Alosi was aggressively targeting the younger Combs during practice.

A represenative for Combs said accounts of the incident are “inaccurate” and expects the charges against the mogul to be dimissed.

“The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate. What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son. We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed.”

Innovative Rapper 2Nice Unleashes the ‘Sunlight’ with Latest Track (@2nicemusic)

00-2niceAstoundingly versatile in his songwriting skills, London singer/songwriter, rapper and fusion artist, 2Nice is the kind of artist that only comes along every once in a while. His incredible fusion of reggae, pop, hip-hop and drum ‘n’ bass has been setting him apart for several years now, building true credibility in the underground urban scene.

Since winning the 2008 award for ’UK Unsigned Best Reggae/Dancehall Act’,  2Nice’s momentum and reputation has been growing thanks to his innate talent for bringing together and blending styles. His buzz is such that urban music royalty are sitting up and taking notice, with fans and collaborators including Congo Natty, Luciano, Tinie Tempah, Dizzie Rascal, Wiley, Mark Morrison and more.

And now, with new single ‘Sunlight’ release on QW-KEYMUSIC it’s set to show the world exactly how it sounds when pop, rap, reggae and EDM are drawn together, his star will continue to rise:

Gritty and raw while still having a polished sheen, ‘Sunlight’ is a single which could well see 2Nice break through from cult status to the mainstream. It’s truly impressive work from a brave and innovative artist not afraid to try new things.

All the more impressive, 2Nice does all this while suffering the debilitating effects of epilepsy. Using music in his everyday battle to overcome the condition, 2Nice finds the creative process soothing – allowing him to turn his thoughts away from an illness he has found it hard to come to terms with.

With his genuinely unique blend of genres, ‘Sunlight’ is just the first assault 2Nice is readying for the mainstream UK music industry this year. Hold on to your hats for 2015.
