The CEO and owners of Jam Yard Promotion were overjoyed after what they call “a night to remember. “
On Saturday February 7th 2015 all true Reggae lovers poured into the Voxhall venue in Aarhus to witness what can only be described as an exquisite night. The event was to celebrate the 70th birthday of one of Jamaica’s icon, Robert Nesta Marley. The show was planned, promoted and executed effectively leaving the promoters feeling both elated and appreciative.
When asked what he has to say now that the event is over and done, one of the members of Jam Yard, Henzel Clarke said;
“Jam Yard would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all the Bob Marley Reggae fans that came to participate in the legends 70th birthday celebration at Voxhall. The mood, vibes and energy was positive from beginning to end.
The audience was just absolutely fantastic. Big up Reggae journalist Henrik Bæk for the interactive power point presentation on Rastafari plus the documentary on the life and journey of Bob Marley. Also have to Big up ITV video crew, Choas Video Production, Tago Radio, Goodness Events, all the performers, bands and musicians. Big up DJ Tiger Moth, my partner DJ Dave Q from Shackdem Sound, Riddim Fex, Steve Muganji (wicked photographer), the Touch of Africa Dancers for their dance tribute, soul singer “Pearl” who thrilled the audience with a splendid tribute to Bob Marley (her own interpretation of “turn your light down low”).
DJALA AFRO BEAT performance was fuse with chants, dance and drum beats of Africa. Special shout to out POPS JABU an entertainer and musical maestro in his own rights (a man with Zulu Roots). He prepared the backing band, set up all the rehearsals, encouraged and helped the kids to stay focus and brought out the natural musical talents they have inside. Furthermore he gave a whooping energetic performance that had Voxhall begging for more.
Omar Perry did not disappoint he came, he saw, and delivered a fire performance “Bun Dung Voxhall” and had the audience on their feet with hits after hits. At the end he had time to interact, take pictures and sign autographs with the fans. He is a wonderful and down to earth brother and Reggae musician. He brought out the best from Jam Yard’s young reggae band.
To all the lovely folks that attended, shared, tagged and invited friends to the event, your efforts did not go unnoticed. I have to big up Sky Juice, Pharfar, Jah Turban, Dean Thomsen, the Staff at Voxhall and V58 (where we hosted the after party).
From myself, Henzel Clarke and my partner, DJ Dave Q we say a big thank you. Look out for our next big event which will be the Yasus Afari tour. In June 2015 Jam Yard will host Aarhus first 2 days Reggae Festival, please join the event page and let’s make this just as successful https://www.facebook.com/events/609676572491492/”
