When it comes to sound system entertainment, there is no question that Irish and Chin has carved a well-respected niche. Their unique concepts offer Dancehall fans an unprecedented level of entertainment. Adding to their growing list of successes is the “Money Pull Up” Tour, which featured the high-powered talents of sound giants Mighty Crown and Fire Links. What made “Money Pull Up” such a winner was the perfect combination of Mighty Crown and Fire Links unique styles. Fire Links mastered “bashment” style juggling, while appealing to the ladies with his witty chat on mic. The women adored the mix up. Meanwhile, Mighty Crown leaned heavily on a “dance” style of juggling and hit it big with the males because of their crafty, powerhouse dub plates.

The “Money Pull Up” Tour also sparked incredible vibes and unyielding excitement among fans because of the well-known rivalry and tension between the two sounds. Never friends, Mighty Crown and Fire Links put differences aside to provide fans with Dancehall in its finest variation. Prior to “Money Pull Up,” Mighty Crown and Fire Links had only played together one time. It was inevitable for the competitive spirit to take at times. Each night, things came close to getting out of control.

During the tour, “The Far East Rulers” and the hype selector Fire Links tailored their performances to the respective audiences. No two performances were alike. Some night’s hardcore juggling took precedence because that’s what the crowd craved, while other nights were straight bashments, as patrons were ready to party. All of the nights were good, but quite frankly the finale in Hartford put the icing on the cake! The at-capacity venue and amped Hartford crowd helped end the “Money Pull Up” Tour with a blast. No stone was left unturned, as Mighty Crown and Fire Links nearly entered into an all-out war. Once Mighty Crown dropped a heavy Freddy McGregor, followed by Links dropping a Capleton, the crowd went mad, erupting into a frenzy of “forwards.”

As the Hartford performance came to a close, the energetic Fire Links declared, “Tour haffi continue! Mighty Crown get weh…. I was just about to kill dem when di light dem turn on in di club.” Mighty Crown quipped, “Fire Links nuh easy….him throw some cheap shot pon Crown, so mi just deal with him wicked…a fun ting still. Next tour must sell-off.”

The success of the 2014 “Money Pull Up” Tour has certainly sparked the interest of promoters and Dancehall fans throughout the country. One shouldn’t be surprised if another leg of the tour gets added in 2015.

YASUS AFARI TO TOUR EUROPE IN 2015 (@YASUSAFARI @jam_yard)

Author, Poet and Artist Yasus Afari has secured a tour deal with Denmark based company, Jam Yard Promotions, which will see the Ambassador of Rastafari doing a unique Europe tour in 2015. The tour is unique because not only will Yasus Afari be performing his music and poetry in various venues across Europe, but he will also be speaking at several schools as he is expected to educate patrons on the Rastafari culture and lifestyle.

The tour is titled “Roots Reggae and Dub Tour” and it kicks off on March 25^th and runs through to April 29^th 2015. Yasus Afari will be showcasing his “Public Secret” album as well as his “Overstanding Rastafari – Jamaica’s Gift To The World” book.

Richie Flo releases brand new track “CHOP DEM OFF” (@Richieflo)

Inspirational singer and songwriter Richie Flo, hails from the parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica. He started singing at an early age and joined the family band, quickly finding his niche as recording reggae/dancehall artist. Throughout is musical career in Jamaica
Richie Flo Worked with Wayne Lonesome of Runthings Productions, Earth Foundations and World Flavas producing original and relevant materials. Richie migrated to Canada and continued his passion in writing and recording music.

From the start of his career, Richie Flo was performing on community events in Jamaica and Canada, which include Jambana Festival 2014, Jamaica Day 2014 & Humber College Black History Month Celebration to name a few. These opportunities have contributed to the development of interacting with the audience and introducing his unique sound.
Humble, focused and dedicated to his craft is truly reflective in the music he produces and presents publicly.

Chux Starr Teams Up With SoUnique Records (@ChuxStarr)

Although quiet over the last year, Torontonian Singjay, Chux Starr, has managed to create a buzz throughout the Dancehall scene with his recent single “Loving Non Stop” produced by SoUnique Records. The pop/dancehall fusion record was voiced during his successful studio tour which he completed in Jamaica this past summer.

During his trip and studio tour, Starr was able to record most of his singles for his upcoming E.P. with features on beats composed by popular labels such as Payday Music and Zack Ariyah. The E.P is set to release early next year.

Chux Starr is most popularly known for his single “Mama”, with the video garnering over 20, 000 views to date. He is known also for his features on various Canadian compilations released by producers such as YuhSeeYou Productions, Smokeshop Records, Constantine Productions and Puddy Suspects. Chux Starr was also featured on Black Spyda Records “Good Memories” riddim with the song “Better Life”, which was a milestone in the upcoming artist’s career as the riddim featured many established artists such as I-Octane, Jah Vinci, Aidonia and Demarco.
