The Movie Inspired By Turbulence’s Song “Jamaica Holiday” Is Out Now!

In July of this year, Marlon Folkes, the CEO and owner of Reggae Vibes Music, announced that their latest release at the time – Jamaica Holiday, which is performed by Turbulence – has inspired a movie.

The one hour and twenty-six minutes film, which has just been uploaded to YouTube, was written and directed by Richard Brown and Glenroy Dodd; with production credits going to both Richard Brown Films and Jammiwood.

When asked to give a quick synopsis regarding the movie, Folkes said it’s about “a character with life challenges who decide to travel the country to clear his head. The journey shows [the] good and bad of Jamaica, [but] mostly good and how the bad turns into good.”

It goes without saying that reggae recording artist Turbulence is one of the stars; but in order to find out what role he plays persons will have to watch the entire film for themself.

Jamaica Holiday, the movie, was to be released in August but it was delayed because of the ongoing lockdowns caused by the covid-19 pandemic. Now that it is out, we are encouraging everyone to not only watch the movie but also download the song that inspired it.

Reggae Duo 2 Of A Kind Is Back In Studio Working On New Music

Following the release of their first ever EP, She’s Bad, brothers Shawn and Shane Stephens, who are publicly known as 2 Of A Kind, are now back in the studio working on new material.

In one of their earlier interviews, Shawn said: “the more positive words that go out in the world, the beast won’t have the strength to maintain the stronghold that him have on the people.” And with that mindset the duo are back to creating what they describe as music filled with love strong enough to devour the beast.

Having recently returned to the music industry after a very long hiatus, they are now showing their commitment to remaining consistent by working on new songs that they intend on sharing in 2022. In the meantime, they’re encouraging their fans and supporters to stream and download the She’s Bad EP.

Dancehall Artist Charly Black Kicks Off Album Tour (@Charlyblack876)

In 2020 the music industry was hit hard by covid-19 resulting in a lot of live shows being cancelled. Although the global coronavirus pandemic remains an ongoing health crisis, some performers have been gradually returning to the stage.

One such performer is diamond selling recording artist Charly Black, who broke barriers, transcending into an international star with his track “Gyal You a Party Animal.”  He sporadically performed over the summer, doing intimate venues as well as major events like the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup; 16th edition of the biennial international men’s football championship.

That said, it was just announced that Charly Black has kicked off the official tour in support of his new album Rio Bueno. As it stands right now there are 19 dates confirmed across the United States of America and Canada, with more to be announced.

Over the weekend the prime minister of Jamaica, Mr. Andrew Holness, announced that States of Public Emergency (SOEs) are now in effect in seven police divisions islandwide. They were put in place to curtail upsurges in violent crimes.

With that in mind, the release of the official video for Capleton‘s Control Your Tempo, could not come at a better time. The song was released in October and the visuals were shared at the beginning of November.

The record is relevant now because of the strong message it sends to criminals and would-be lawbreakers. Click here or on the image above to watch the video, but more importantly pay close attention to the lyrical content.
